− | : Passed about 10 years ago with the approval of the DPS - right around the time that the surrounding counties lost contact with Chariot County. Extremely controversial, this act called for the distribution of little orange pills throughout the school system. This drug, called Acurion, is manufactured by Emberton Pharmaceuticals, and has been described as "cognitive enhancers". It is a very addictive substance which appears to be designed to make the children docile and extremely receptive to the public school system's curriculum which, in turn, crushes them into good little worker drones. It is a very addictive substance which appears to be designed to make the children docile and extremely receptive to the public school system's curriculum which, in turn, crushes them into good little worker drones. DPS faculty is trained to watch the students for withdrawal symptoms so that they can be "hospitalized", alongside threats that failure to take the pills results in expulsion from school. |
: When this program was first proposed there was a significant (understandable) amount of opposition. Evidence points to Emberton having paid off most of the opposition, and there was talk about them coming to an agreement with the DPS behind closed doors before it was even announced. Even then Detroit did not have the funds to stand on its own, and Emberton had a lot of money to throw around. The most outspoken group against the act was a nonprofit known as the Concerned Families of Detroit, and were led by Peter Dunderson (AKA: Piotr Dundee ap Eiluned.) Negotiations went on for months with the Concerned Families in staunch opposition of the bill and proposed use of Acurion. Then they did an abrupt about-face and began to endorse it. Dundee apparently claimed that this is because they negotiated "generous" opt-out plans that would be paid by Emberton and the DPS board, which involved Emberton paying tuition for families wanting to send their children to charter schools.... but declined to pay transportation and logistics which, for many families in Detroit, was a deal-breaker. | : When this program was first proposed there was a significant (understandable) amount of opposition. :Former personal adviser to His Excellency, Count Lucien Valerius ap Eiluned, the last ruler of Chariot County. He held the Chateau, a landed knighthood holding titled to the Baron of the Chariot. Was known to be active during the period wherein the County was isolated, and is the only kithain known to have crossed the barrier during the decade or so the county was deemed lost. Has strong ties to the opposition of the All-Success program, however seems to have finally accepted Emberton's ill-structured settlement. Made significant changes to the Chateau in 2010 before selling it in 2012 and leaving Michigan. He has been linked to a mysterious death in upstate New York, where his mortal host, Peter Dunderson, met his end along a roadside, though specific details remain unavailable. The matter is considered an unsolved homicide. | :Former personal adviser to His Excellency, Count Lucien Valerius ap Eiluned, the last ruler of Chariot County. + | :Dundee was hunted down and killed by agents of the Crystal Circle, after attempting to "infiltrate" a Duchy in Queen Mab's backyard. Seers saw all manner of horrors in his D'an when they started their inquest, and once the alarm was raised, he was swiftly tracked down.

+ | :Several local kithain have made mention of and given warnings concerning Redcaps in the area. The Satyr Charis indicated that they live in Fort Wayne, in the southwestern part of the city.

+ | :Poison Ivy went to go have a look around for us and encountered a single old 'Cap called Falcon living in the place, which she found singularly unimposing. However, she overheard him talking with something in the river: something with a woman's voice. Falcon told 'her' that Ivy was poking around and asking questions and figured she was with the Satyr and 'some Eshu', and believes she told him to round up his posse and come send us a message. Heads on spikes, bodies on the county line, etc.

+ | :Ivy liberated his phone, which we, presumably, can use to get the drop on them before they have a chance to come at us.

+ | :Grant did some asking around at the station during lunch. Zug Island is owned by US Steel, and operated by a smaller metalworking concern. After a bunch of trespasses, this metalworking concern contracted MDCI (Michigan Defense Contractors, Incorporated) to oversee security on the island. The current operation over at Zug is considered a 'strategic metalworking concern' by the US Government, so whatever they are producing is related to the defense sector in some way. This status allows them to heavily regulate and control any and all traffic in and out of the island. The only real concern here is that MDCI looks a bit shady to Grant, and others at DPD, they've quite possibly hidden or removed evidence in at least one or two investigations before where their assets were involved. So far, this is still not our immediate concern.
