MDCI Excursion Stakeout - James N. Gomez - (The first page is nearly blank, containing only one sentence) This report is delivered in the memory of Marshal, Garou of the Get of Fenris tribe under the Full Moon.
WARNING: This report could induce anger. Read with caution.
Miss Shadi relayed to me information on a coming excursion by MDCI agents, of a style they've been repeating in Detroit. The means by which she acquired this information is unknown to me, and beyond the scope of the report, but it has been revealed to be true.
Following the time and location relayed to me, I prepared to watch. Going alone, I drove within a quarter mile of the location, an abandoned apartment building in the Measure-cleared zone of Detroit, and parked in an inconspicuous place. My rifle was readied and loaded in the cab of my truck, as was my camera harness. I opened a window, shifted, got into the harness, and flew to the location an hour ahead of the planned meeting. At the location there was a field, a parking lot, a four story apartment building, and two accessory buildings. I made the roof of the main building my primary scouting location. With me was a portable IR flashlight to augment night time recording.
There were people in the building already. I saw a guard on the ground, and another waiting on the second floor. I perched from a third floor window, and positively identified the second floor individual as a Fomor. His name is Bradley. I decided it was not worth risking my position to identify others, as they were likely Fomor or worse. There were others in the room with him. Following is a transcript of the part of their conversation I was able to hear and record:
UNIDENTIFIED INDIVIDUAL 1: [inaudible] so we like to take some time to screen folks as they come in before we bring them through the siege lines.
MARSHAL: Makes sense. Hey.
UNIDENTIFIED 1: This is Bradley. Bradley this is Marshal; our resident FNG.
BRADLEY: [Scoffs] Don't let this prick ruffle your feathers. He likes to give all the new arrivals a hard time. Still, we're glad you're here. The flow of help's been getting thinner and thinner lately.
MARSHAL: Yeah, I got a lot of shit for wanting to help out here.
BRADLEY: Any idea why?
MARSHAL: I got jawed at a fair bit about how folks aren't really sure that Shaw's legit, I guess? Something about a Fang and some folks in his own tribe... I dunno. Way over my head. I pretty much just need pointed at the Wyrm.
UNIDENTIFIED 1: Full-moon?
MARSHAL: You betcha. Ready to put a /world/ of hurt on somebody, too.
BRADLEY: Glad to hear it. So tell me, Marshal... what tribe? I gotta tell ya before you answer: the talen in your hand'll tell me if you're lying. Not that I expect it or anything, but the bossman makes me tell everybody that before I start asking the personal questions and whatnot.
MARSHAL: Oh hey, no worries. Get of Fenris.
UNIDENTIFIED 1: I had you pegged for a Talon, myself.
BRADLEY: Awww give the kid a break, he just got here. Right, so, you rited with the Get... that's a breath of welcome news. I'm gonna call in now and have someone come pick us all up. Thanks for putting up with the little interview.
UNIDENTIFIED 1: Hey no problem, man.
MARSHAL: Yeah man, cool.
[Footsteps]
MARSHAL: What the... [Marshal calls back to report he saw a bird]
[Car engines roar]
[Gunshots]
When the conversation subsided, I moved to a second building for another angle, and as I did so, Marshal looked out the window to see what the noise was. That was the moment he was murdered by Bradley and the unidentified individual. I didn't realize what was going on until it was too late, but I did turn on my IR flashlight at this point, risking exposing my location to try to disrupt the team. But it was ineffective of course.
I watched from a third vantage point after the fact. I was able to get a decent picture of Bradley, of the vehicles used, attached here. I also have images of the deceased Marshal. They are needlessly graphic and so not included here, but are available if necessary. I was certainly unable to fly down and get his last sights from his eye.

My analysis is that Bradley lured Marshal, a Garou, to his death, with an offer of hospitality in exchange for Marshal's pledge of assistance to fight Damian Shaw and the Wyrm. At least some of these MDCI excursions can be reasonably believed to be meetings like this.
As I fully understood what was going on, and saw his body being removed, I felt I could be overcome with rage, both at what I just saw, and at my inability to do anything about it. So, after getting the image of Bradley, I left to bring this information.
Marshal could not be saved, but I will light a candle for him, and keep a memory of him as I work.
