Complement that crow.
Alma is a nerd who has pushed through some of the social ignorance due to growing out of it, but still had a tendency to be awkward when it comes to interactions that aren't focus on Topics of Interest or Doing Specific Things--particularly with new people.
You might see her...
- running or biking. all weather. perhaps accompanied by crow.
- doing ornithology field work all over the city. She's currently doing field work that involves studying animal behavior. She watches dumpsters and window ledges for hours. During the spring she will be banding nestlings. Wherever there are corvids, she is likely there, taking notes on their behavior.
- picking up weird crap, sometimes literal crap?
- crafts that involve building puzzle boxes, noise, etc.
- replacing rippled and faded "Know Your Rights" flyers.
- helping with elder care and sick people. She isn't a medical expert, but she knows enough to take care of someone in a sickbed to give their family some time off.
- helping at Second Stories, a fictionalized outpost of the Ruth Ellis Center's Second Stories Drop In
- taking care of her niece, who loves math and writing and recently boys. She is 17 going on 18. If you are in high school maybe you know her.
- Discussing organized traditions and history. She left the Chakravanti. (For some reason she used the greek a lot before she left???)
- Brainstorming. Doesn't everyone want to collaborate? That's how knowledge progresses! Want to try this thing? This shows you how the circle of time works: I add this mentos to water. Next I smash the the glass and hammer the mentos with a rock. Now I pour the soda over it. Next I scoop all of this in to this hero cup. If you do this don't forget to have a napkin handy or wet newspaper handy. Now we wait for the mud to settle. Youtube is optional. (comparative study).
RP-Prefs:
I enjoy casual conversation and mundane activities. And ostensibly casual conversation has the potential to change characters. I don't expect your character in another sphere to discuss sphere stuff. "Did you +bbread the article about the thus and so?"
My character has a muddled and non-linear thinking style at times. If you need me not to pose that so much, let me know.
I don't mind adult themes and RP, but I don't feel like RPing male gaze and some -isms. If that is IC I'd prefer to FtB, and we can establish tenor and what happens with an OOC conversation.
