Arcane Infinity in Hamtramck

When you walk into the Arcane infinity, the smell of rosemary comes over the senses. On the ceiling silk drapes overhead in deep purple with gold stars twinkling from them. A few windchimes that sing softly as the door opens, deep and striking. The walls are covered in various meditation posters, and bookcases. There is a CD that plays a calm soft music gentle on the ear. Jars of incense and tea can be seen in jars on the bookcases, a few totems are tucked in nooks and crannies around the room of various animals both real and fantasy.

Small wooden and metal fairy houses set on the floor mingled amongst the crystals and other natural craftings. There is one reading nook with a table and crystal ball upon it for readings. A door to the back is only a sliding barn door.

Alma likes a shop where crows are welcome as long as they don't steal or crap on anything. Note flies in with her again when she walks through the door prepared to ask the shop owner if she needs any chores done. She looks so busy that Alma is loathe to bother her. When Alma's that engrossed in things she wants to cut people and set them on fire when they bug her. Better not risk it.

Note is thrilled to be here, and you can tell by how she trills. She lands on a bookshelf corner and then starts checking out the starcatchers hanging here and there around the shop.

Jim is fully moved into the new house. And the wedding is probably starting to creep up, slowly. So he's going to help Monday and get some decorations. And what better place to do that than a Bastet kinfolk owned shop. He steps in, and is surprised. "Miss Alma, howdy."

Note sees Jim before Alma does and rattles a hello. Alma looks up at the greeting, "Hi Jim, better not bother her, she looks really engrossed in something. Do you shop here often? This place is too pricey for me." She narrows her eyes at Note. Note is hopping around on that bookshelf looking like someone who's about to launch like a rocket at something. "but she said she does things for oddjobs so I was going to ask her if she has any chores she needs doing around the place or something. Did you know she does divination? I'm going to ask her about a card." She holds up a deck shape wrapped in a silk cloth by way of explanation. Not the best explainer, Alma. She assumes a lot of shared context. Or maybe assumes everything is made obvious by gesticulations.

Jim chukcles and looks to Notion, just barely keeping himself from getting engross in that suncatcher by the door. "I uh.. have the same problem sometimes," he smiles, tearing his eyes away to approach Alma. "I mostly visit with the owner, but it's a nice place to buy the occasional gift. "I didn't know she does divination. I mostly know of her work on the White Zone."

"I think it's fun to get engrossed in those things. And sometimes they even help me focus. fidget devices, you know?" Maybe he does not know. Maybe these things NEVER help a corax focus. never. But expansive thinking is good! Alma gets a lot of insight from it, but maybe her friends don't manage to drag it out of her.

"I didn't know she worked on the White Zone. She offered to help me find a book for someone with divination. Said she had a spell book. The whole thing was pretty expensive."

At the same time Alma says expensive, like fate wants to laugh, Note flies to a sun catcher and starts swinging on it upside down. weeee flap swing flap swing. And it's not one of Note's feathers that fall down. Alma's eyes widen in distress. "Oh no. That's thirty dollars. Or maybe worse. I've been budgetting for bus fair to Ann Arbor." She looks at Jim, "I can bike, but that's four hours both ways. I don't have time for it." She walks over to pick up the fallen feather. "Note," she draws out the vowels in disappointment. "We have to buy this now. I didn't budget for it."

<<OOC>> Jim digs up the original video of the adorkable crows swinging upside from things [1]

Jim chuckles. "Well, it's one thing to get engrossed in something like a normal person, ma'am, and getting engrossed in them the way a Corax does. IT's a prank on us, never ending." He browses a bit, just not at the sun catchers, at least until Notoin makes a mess. "I reckon you should get your niece to show you how to work the busses."

Alma laughs when Jim sas that, and then proceeds to explain the bus logistics anyway, "Hmmm, so usually I take the bus to Ann Arbor unless I feel like biking all the way. They have bike fixtures too." Alma goes on a bit about how the bus is pretty cheap but it adds up to, like, twenty dollars and then what if she wants to eat something? So you can quickly get up to thirty dollars. "Pretty soon you end up spending more than you budgeted for. This sun catcher just destroyed my entire budget for the trip! I really neat to talk to None. really. need." She grunts in disgust. She gives Note an exasperated look. Note rolls her eyes like a teenager, maybe she's been taking lessons from Maria. "Fine" she says in that teenager's tone of voice, and flies to land on Alma's shoulder.
