• Aaron: I respect you more now that I've seen you care for someone. begrudgingly. but, holy crap are you condescending.
• Alexandra: holy crap is she dark. I mean, dark. Every time I am around her I get so tongue tied that it is impossible to communicate.
• Arthur: I love his passion for discovery.
• Charles: I don't understand. I wasn't pretending to be in charge of you, and I wasn't treating you like a kid. This is--It's just--I--People compare notes right? All the time? Damn, people are hard. Birds? wildlife? lot easier.
• Emma: Dismissive. But I hope she still mistrusts systems of power. Maybe that will protect her.

• Jim, intern: Manages the life of a student despite working a dangerous second shift. Why this focus on vengeance?

• Bit aka James: A really solid person in a crisis. Alma told Bit, "I mean duh, it should have been obvious, right? right? Alma's player send an email to a biologist she knows who writes stories about whether intelligence requires consciousness and so forth because this is related to their interests. and this was part of their reply. - Ed.)
